Here at Spring Regulatory Sciences, we pride ourselves on our ability to help our clients through every step of the organic certification process. We understand that navigating the certification process can be a daunting undertaking without the appropriate resources and experience. To the benefit of our clients, over the past four decades, Spring Regulatory Sciences has formed a vast network of contacts in agencies in the U.S. and around the world that have helped us streamline the certification process for you.

The first step in organic certification is to verify all input materials and manufacturing processes meet the requirements for the USDA National Organic Program or the Canadian Organic Regime (COR). Our experienced consultants can review your products to give you confidence in obtaining the certification before submission. The next step is to create a submission package that includes: all ingredients in your product as well as manufacturing processes of each ingredient and the final product; product labels, lab analyses, and declarations about genetic modification, radiation and/or nanotechnology. The final step is the submission of the application package to the certifying agency and responding to questions and clarifications needed by the certifier, during the review process.

There are numerous 3rd party certifying organizations for organic input materials, but the three most widely recognized are the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI), Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) Organic Food Program, and California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) Organic Input Material Program.

The certification process can be complex and time-consuming, but with Spring Regulatory Services by your side, we can take care of everything for you so that you can focus on running your business. With over four decades of experience and a vast network of contacts in agencies all over the world, we are confident that we can help streamline the process and get your products certified as quickly and efficiently as possible.
